Information for health professionals

CATMAT recommends that all pregnant women and those who are considering attempting to get pregnant discuss their travel plans with their health care provider and consider postponing travel to areas in the Americas affected by the ZIKV outbreak. This outbreak is expanding and reporting may not be complete or up-to-date. The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) has a list and map of countries and territories with confirmed cases in the Americas.
