- Focus on the social and emotional well-being of the patient/client and their families;
- Assist patients/clients and families through psycho-social counselling and practical instrumental resources, during a developmental and/or health related event;
- Strengthen psychosocial functioning and support systems and;
- Provide psycho-social consultation and training to other health care professionals, students and related community agencies.
