Parent Mentoring Program

​The information on this page is current. However, the 2017-18 Provincial Budget announced that there will no longer be funding available for the Parent Mentoring program. With this, as of March 23, we are no longer taking referrals, but are continuing to care for our existing clients. An official date of closure of this program has not be set. About Parent Mentoring Program 

The Parent Mentoring Program provides home based support to families so their young children can thrive. The following are criteria that are used as a guideline in determining the suitability of parent participants for the Parent Mentoring Program: 

  • Pregnant and/or parenting a child 5 years of age or younger
  • Socially disadvantaged/isolated
  • Economically disadvantaged
  • No active child protection involvement
  • Live in and around the communities of:
    • Rosthern
    • Wakaw
    • Duck Lake
    • Hague
    • Waldheim
    • Hepburn
    • Laird
    • Osler
    • Riverbend Hutterite Colony
