Kidney health is offered through the Kidney Health Unit to individuals with acute and chronic kidney disease, which can cause waste products and fluids to build up in the body.
The Kidney Health Unit is based out of St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon. It is made up of an intra-professional team of clinical coordinators, clinical nurse educators, dialysis access clinicians, diabetes nurse clinicians, dietitians, exercise therapists, nephrologists (kidney specialists), nurse clinicians, pharmacists, registered nurses, social workers and support staff. The team provides community outreach, clinics, education, training and treatment.
