Everyone has their own way of describing their family. Any group which a person feels he or she belongs to may become their family. This group may include parents, siblings, close friends, or a foster family. 

Every healthy family nurtures relationships through love and caring, and supporting one another. A family that manages to fulfill one another's basic emotional and social needs becomes a stable or "happy" family.  Dealing with one's family is like dealing with one's life itself - there are good and bad times, there are happy and sad moments. In spite of all this, if we don't stop loving our life, why should we stop loving our family?
