Public Service Announcement: How to Access Medical Emergency Services in Rosthern, Wakaw, Cudworth and Duck Lake while Phone Service is Down

UPDATE: Tuesday, August 26 - Phone service to Rosthern, Wakaw, Cudworth and Duck Lake has been restored.

Saskatoon – SaskTel reports a cut fiber north of Saskatoon. Network connectivity, including telephone and cell phone services are currently down or intermittent for the following areas within Saskatoon Health Region: Rosthern, Wakaw, Cudworth and Duck Lake.

If you have a medical emergency and are unable to get through to a 9-1-1 operator, the following facilities can arrange an ambulance on your behalf: Rosthern Hospital, Good Will Manor in Duck Lake, Lake View Pioneer Home in Wakaw, and Cudworth Nursing Home and Health Centre. To arrange the ambulance, proceed directly to the facility or have a friend or family member go to the facility on your behalf and provide your specific address or legal land description.
